As the World Judo Championships - Doha 2023 were about to begin, the Lebanese Judo Federation took the opportunity to launch the first phase of its Judo in Schools project.

Thus on Thursday 4th May 2023, a judo demonstration took place at the Champville School. This demonstration was a perfect success and it also marked the beginning of the Judo in Schools programme, the first judo sessions having taken place the following week. The event was an opportunity to recall the basics of judo.

François Saade, President of the Lebanese Judo Federation, said, "The students were very happy and the atmosphere was excellent. It was a great success. The Judo in Schools programme is now launched, starting here at the Champville school, in co-ordination and co-operation with the International Judo Federation.”

The event took place in the presence of the General Manager of the Lebanese Judo Federation, Francois Saade Junior. At the end of the show the director of the school thanked the federation as well as the IJF for this initiative, while wishing success in all that develops the physical and moral health of the pupils.
