The first World Championships for judoka with an intellectual disability will be held in Cologne, Germany, from 19 – 22 October.

The German Judo Federation, which hosts an annual IJF World Judo Tour Grand Prix in Dusseldorf, will host the four-day competition which has the backing of the IJF and INAS (International Association of Sport for Para Athletes with an intellectual disability).

Each country can register up to 18 athletes (9 male and 9 female). If the maximum number of participants in one weight category will not be reached the host country can register additional Judoka.

Every nation provides one or more Referee with an IJF A – license
