On day 1 there will be three women’s category’s and four men’s categories in contention. These medals and ranking points are significant as the final jostling of position leads into the opening of the Paralympic qualification period in just a few weeks from now.
Day one categories
Women: J1 -52kg, J2 -52kg, J2 -60kg
Men: J1 -70kg, J2 -70kg, J1 -81kg, J2 -81kg
The warm-up room is busy and positive, each delegation making their final preparations for the day. Competing in Kazakhstan is always a great experience for the teams as the organisers ensure that the environment is professionally laid out, empowering the athletes to deliver their best judo.
