After 4 days of high level judo from the world’s best veteran judoka, 30 different countries have heard their national anthem played in the Tauron Arena, Krakow.

Angola and Mauritius surprised us with their gold medallists while France stuck to the script, planting themselves at the top of the overall medal table.

On the penultimate day the M4 and M5 categories left everything on the tatami in an effort to reach the podium. Here are the day 3 medallists.

The final day brought us the F1-F9 groups and the remaining men’s categories, all weights in the M2 age bracket. It was a busy day and it did not disappoint. Here are the medallists from day 4.

As the changing of the guard takes place in Krakow, with the veterans departing and the kata competitors arriving, it is also time to thank the referees and technical officials who travelled to Poland from all 5 continents to ensure the very best environment was created for the veterans.

We hand over now to the IJF Kata Commission and prepare for a new rhythm on the mats of the Tauron Arena.
