Olympic Champion, Baker Mashu (JPN) was expected to come back to competition in Düsseldorf and that's what he did with great success... until the final. Qualified for the last contest of the day in the men's -90kg, he was defeated by Mikhail Igolnikov (RUS) with a beautiful movement for ippon.
