Volunteers have always been at the heart of the Olympic Movement. They welcome athletes and spectators, support competitions, assist with ceremonies and operations and help create the unique atmosphere that defines every edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. For LA28, up to 60,000 volunteers are expected to contribute across a wide range of roles, both in Los Angeles and at Olympic competition venues across the United States.
The International Judo Federation encourages the global judo family to seize this unique opportunity to experience the Olympic Games from behind the scenes and contribute to an unforgettable celebration of sport and the values of Olympism.
Applications are open to eligible candidates worldwide. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old at the time of application, be proficient in English and commit to a minimum of ten non-consecutive shifts during either the Olympic or Paralympic Games volunteer period. Residency in the United States is not required.
