More than 370 media personnel have arrived in Azerbaijan’s capital for the International Judo Federation’s flagship event, an illustration of the reach of judo around the world and of the fervour generated by a world championship.
The pre-event media briefing offered an opportunity for writers, photographers, rights-holders, non-rights-holders, local organisers and IJF staff to put faces to names, to discuss shared objectives explicitly and ensure everyone accredited has the chance to produce their best work and illuminate the incredible judo that will undoubtedly be on display throughout the next eight days.

Most of all we already for the judo itself to create magic moments, memories to stay with us for a lifetime; media representatives from around the world are ready to deliver all of that in vibrant Technicolour.
