In response to the continued humanitarian crises around the world, the International Judo Federation (IJF) is launching two initiatives to assist people affected by the current situation in Ukraine.

In these difficult times, there are many ways to support refugees. Thus, the first initiative is aimed at refugees and the second is targeted specifically at judoka.

At https://noborders.ijf.org you will find all necessary information concerning judo clubs in neighbouring countries which have already started to help refugees and who are offering judo lessons to the refugee families.

The IJF has also created a dedicated platform (https://donation.ijf.org) where you can donate and contribute to the effort to bring a bit of joy back to those who suffer the most. A specific bank account has been opened and all the funds will be collected and used to support the refugee community, in coordination with national federations and local organisations.

In 2021 the World Judo Day theme was 'Solidarity.’ In 2022 it is 'Inclusion.’ Today we have the possibility to show solidarity and to demonstrate how judo can promote the inclusion of refugees. By donating, we can all look towards peace. Thank you for your help and support.

In the weeks to come, the IJF will publish information on a regular basis about the progress of the various initiatives that are launched.
