In exactly two weeks, the world's best judoka will gather together in Budapest, the capital of Hungary and home of the International Judo Federation, for the OTP Bank World Judo Championships Hungary 2025. The pressure mounts every day as athletes make final adjustments to be ready when the first hajime sounds.

While the competitors are preparing, so are the organisers, who are doing everything they can to ensure the spectacle is at its highest possible standard. All the contests will be available online, live on JudoTV.com while there will also be extensive coverage on all IJF communication platforms, which will be at your service to bring you some great judo.

Our journalists, photographers, camera operators and commentators are ready. Are you ready too?

Budapest, Hungary

For eight days, all eyes will be on Budapest and the Papp László Arena. The first seven days of competition will be dedicated to individual competition by weight category, from lightest to heaviest. The final day will be the eagerly awaited mixed team competition. Will Japan once again win the title it has never eluded at world championship level, since the event's inception?

A little less than a year after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and with the LA28 Games already looming over the horizon, the OTP Bank World Judo Championships Hungary 2025 marks a major turning point in the international calendar. Thus, in less than two weeks, we'll know a little more about who is in good shape. So until then, continue preparing to be in top form from 13th to 20th June and, if you haven't already, mark these days on your calendar. You won't want to miss a single contest.
