The team event resembled much of the 3 days of individual competition, during which 11 of the 14 gold medals on offer were awarded to Brazil. Spectacular performances from Clarice Ribeiro, Bruno Nobrega, Rafaela Rodrigues, Mattheus Nolasco, Bianca Reis, Luan Almeida, Eduarda Bastos, Jesse Barbosa, Dandara Camillo, Gustavo Milano, and Andrey Coelho took Brazil to the top of the medal table.

Breakout performances from Columbia’s Heydi Santilla (-70 kg), Cuban Dayanara Curbelo Traveiso (+78 kg) and Ecuador’s Jhonathan Benavides (-60 kg) gave their respective nations a gold medal each, completing the list of new title-holders.

The ever-growing depth across the Pan-American region was again represented with 13 nations featuring among the medals, with strong team performances from the USA and Venezuela, 8 and 6 medals respectively.. While the host nation did not feature among the medals, this event provided their team with a fantastic experience and opportunity as they continue to develop within the region.
