The International Judo Federation honoured its three Referee Supervisors at a lavish gala hosted by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation at the Yacht Club on Sunday evening.

Following the conclusion of #JudoBaku2017 the delegations gathered for a farewell dinner which was headlined by the special presentation three of the IJF’s top experts who after exceptional competitive careers have all been hailed for their coaching and immense knowledge of judo.

The IJF’s three Referee Supervisors, Mr. Florin Daniel Lascau, Mr. Alexander Jatskevich and Mr. Neil Adams (from L-R), were awarded IJF Honorary Referee status.

Honorary Badges were presented IJF Head Referee Director Mr. Jan Snijders before the referee ties were handed out by IJF Referee Director Mr. Bernd Achilles.

The certificates were presented by IJF President Mr. Marius Vizer.

Mr. Vizer said: “Good evening everyone, it is a great pleasure for us all to be together this evening to celebrate a success competition. I would to congratulate the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and thank them for the excellent organisation. 

“We look forward to a great World Championships next year in Baku and I thank Azerbaijan for your friendship, hospitality and generosity.

“I am pleased to present Honorary Referee certificates to Mr. Florin Daniel Lascau, Mr. Alexander Jatskevich and Mr. Neil Adams, who have all contributed greatly to the positive movement and direction of our sport.

“I wish all of them a successful collaboration with the IJF senior referees for the benefit of the judo community.”
