The judo on show is thrilling the spectators, the organisation team are generous and thoughtful, ensuring all necessary conditions are met for the event to run smoothly.

At the end of day one Japan are leading the medal table but China can be proud of their second place, just behind them. The hosts are putting on a great show with a multi-generational team that overall has limited experience. What a great education this tournament will be, leaving a lasting legacy for the rest of their Olympic cycle and beyond.
