Planned, scheduled, noted, the SchoolJudo.EU trans-national meeting was due to go ahead next week in the Netherlands. This was an opportunity for all departments to get together, to brainstorm, share ideas, celebrate successes and reflect on the journey so far. It was an opportunity for the team to train together and cement policies, procedures and formats, ahead of the pilot projects planned for launch in March.

Representatives from the IJF and from the Slovenian, Italian and Hungarian working parties have continued to develop the content to be delivered in the Netherlands but this meeting has had to change. Covid has reared its ugly head once again and many countries in Europe have had tighter restrictions imposed in recent weeks.

So, in order to keep the IJF and broader Erasmus team safe, judo has done what judo does best, moving the whole meeting online, adapting to the circumstances and environment in play.

Nothing has stopped. Nothing has been cancelled. SchoolJudo.EU is forging ahead, constantly vigilant for changing scenery. There will be plenty more news in the coming months, but for now, final preparation is under way for the online trans-national meeting.
