10 days, 10 short days before the start of the 2018 Judo World Championships taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 20 to 27 September. Never has a competition been so eagerly anticipated, never have champions and fans been so excited about the event.

Everyone is in the starting blocks: both the organizers who are finalizing the last logistical details and the athletes who bring a final touch to their careful preparation. If every event of the World Judo Tour counts, especially during this period of Olympic qualification, the World Championships have a different taste because a title makes you immediately enter the legend of the sport, that of Anton Geesink, Ingrid Berghmans, or Kosei Inoue; a medal propels you into the restricted family of world medalists.
