Following updates that were shared earlier this year about the Athlete Charter project, the IOC announced that the Athlete Charter survey is now live!

The athletes who signed up to Athlete365 have received an email from Steering Committee Chair, Sarah Walker, (on behalf of the whole committee), inviting them to complete the survey, via their own unique link. If athletes have not signed up to Athlete 365, the committee invite them to go to www.olympic.org/athlete365/athletecharter to register and take the survey. They will also find out more about the project on this page, including the current draft of the Athlete Charter.

As a reminder, the Athlete Charter sets out to define athlete rights, as well as responsibilities, across topics such as sports competition, integrity and clean sport, safeguarding, career & marketing and governance & communication. At the end of May, the Athlete Charter Steering Committee (composed of 20 elite athletes, from every continent) released the initial components of a draft Athlete Charter, comprising 19 rights and 16 responsibilities.

The IOC is encouraging as many elite athletes as possible to take the survey, to help further define the Athlete Charter, by sharing what’s important to them. You can also find bellow a letter from Sarah Walker, on behalf of the Steering Committee, which can be forwarded to all contacts.
