These are the judoka who will participate in the Tokyo Olympics. 200 men, 192 women, with only the wild cards making the difference. 130 countries and 14 as yet unclaimed gold medals. There is a hunger for gold and few titles for so many candidates, which heralds a first-rate competition. There will also be 6 refugee team members and a mixed team competition.
We will talk about the seeds and possible surprises in the coming days. This is just the official appetiser for qualifiers to enjoy. The countdown has begun.
