In October 2023 Mr Masaaki Amadera and his accompanying delegation were welcomed at the Libyan national judo hall. There they met members of the board of directors of the Libyan Judo Federation and a group of coaches and referees.
The visit included discovering the daily training of the national team. The General Secretary of the Libyan Judo Federation, Mr Abdussalam Sheflu, gave a detailed presentation of what was accomplished in 2023, locally and internationally, and what they aim to achieve in the future.
Mr Masaaki Amadera expressed his happiness at being among the Libyan judo family, which reflects the depth of the relationship between the two countries, Libya and Japan. He will work to develop co-operation with all available capabilities to help spread the sport of judo throughout the country.
