Kenya Perna (ITA) vs Gefen Primo (ISR)

Perna took an early lead with a waza-ari, seemingly in control of the contest. But against Gefen Primo, nothing ever stays comfortable for long. Under growing pressure, Perna received two penalties, yet she also managed to extend her advantage with a yuko. However, during a ne-waza sequence, she pushed off her opponent’s head, an action judged contrary to the spirit of judo. Though unintentional, the move led to her disqualification, awarding the bronze medal to Gefen Primo.
